Our commitment for maintaining highest quality of products and services is permanent. That’s why we decided to make an upgrade to our iconic profile: Novatik METAL SLATE. We redesigned our profile and the new version is spectacular. This new improved Novatik SLATE can be installed in 2 distinct ways: interlaced and linear arrangement, creating two different architectural styles for flat roofs.
We’ve optimized the height of the NEW SLATE profile. We’ve done this to achieve a more clean-shape design while ensuring optimal sealing. This new height of the profile facilitates the fixing of the tiles onto the wooden battens making it more secure and easy. The overlaps have become almost invisible and the risks of accidental infiltration or of dust depositing under the tiles have been eliminated.
Tiles are laid in a way that controls the flow of water down the roof and prevents water from leaking through the junctions between the tiles. For our new Slate tiles we designed 4 water channels on their left edge which are essentially water gutters designed to prevent the effects of capillary action across the tile. We now have not 1, not 2, but 4 consecutive barriers against possible infiltrations.
We put our mark on each Novatik METAL SLATE tile to certify the high quality level we are committed to maintain. Novatik® mark is embossed on every tile, reassuring our customers of its authenticity and origin.
Novatik METAL SLATE profile was created to combine natural slate look with the advantages of modern materials. With Novatik METAL SLATE you will have a roof with a simple design, functional aesthetics, minimalist and without unnecessary architectural elements. Strong linear elements and bold horizontal lines make Novatik METAL SLATE roof the ideal choice for all types of constructions and renovations. Smooth surfaces and reduced height of the profile are very suitable for roofs with complex geometry and at least 16⁰ pitch.
Novatik METAL SLATE profile is made of steel pre-painted in three coating options:
Novatik METAL SLATE Mat (steel 0.5 mm): Steel with protective coating of ZnMg 120g/sqm (Polyester Mat 35 microns on the front side of the tile and lack polyester of 10 microns on the back side of the tile) or Zn 275 g/sqm (Polyester Mat 35 microns on the front side of the tile and lack polyester of 7 microns on the back side of the tile). The both anti-corrosion protection of steel providing an excellent corrosion resistance than other steel roofs. Aesthetic warranty: 20 years. Technical warranty: 30 years.
Novatik METAL SLATE Mat (steel 0.6 mm): Steel with protective coating of ZnMg 120g/sqm, Polyester Mat 35 microns on the front side of the tile and lack polyester of 10 microns on the back side of the tile. The ZnMg alloy is highly stable under saline mist conditions and provides increased protection against corrosion (both for the surface of the sheet and for cutting edges or holes). The protection offered by ZnMg alloy provides a high degree of corrosion resistance in different operating climates. Aesthetic warranty: 20 years. Technical warranty: 40 years.
Novatik METAL SLATE High Coat: Steel with protective coating of Zn 275 g/sqm, Polyurethan/Polyamid 50 microns on the front side of the tile and Lack Epoxid of 10 microns on the back side of the tile. High Coat surface coating provides an excellent corrosion protection (RC4), enhanced scratch resistance and UV (RUV4). Aesthetic warranty: 20 years. Technical warranty: 40 years.
Novatik METAL SLATE Frost: Steel with protective coating of Zn 275 g/sqm, Polyurethan 60 microns on the front side of the tile and Lack Epoxid of 12 microns on the back side of the tile. Frost surface coating provides durability and increased scratch resistance. Aesthetic warranty: 20 years. Technical warranty: 40 years.

Novatik offers a full range of roof accessories. The correct use of the accessories ensures perfect ventilation and sealing of the roof and complements its aesthetic appearance. A sealed and ventilated roof reduces the risk of condensation, improves thermal insulation efficiency and optimizes the operation of ventilation devices. Breathable membrane allows the vapors that reach the thermal insulation layer to exit as quickly as possible and prevents formation of condensation that would affect thermal insulation. At the same time, it prevents condensation, which can form under the cover, from entering the thermal insulation layer. For these reasons, the tightness of the roof and facades is decisive for determining the interior comfort.
