Novatik, the manufacturer of Novatik metal roofing systems, has opened Romania's first production line for metal tiles with volcanic rock coating: Novatik NATURA. In the three years since the launch of the Novatik NATURA brand, the company has taken significant steps and invested over €1.5 million in high-performance production equipment. The new Novatik NATURA production line has a capacity of approximately 2 million Novatik tiles per year, plus related accessories. This year, the company celebrates 18 years since its founding, 12 years since the launch of the Novatik brand, and over 8 million metal tiles with rock sold in Romania to date. Novatik aims to have an innovative and attractive product portfolio and develop new products that stand out from the competition. The basic elements of the company's culture are the desire, perseverance, and determination to pursue new directions.
Therefore, on October 20th, together with loyal and trustworthy partners, we inaugurated the first production line for metal roofing tiles with volcanic rock coating in Romania: Novatik NATURA. In 2003, we created a new niche in the Romanian roofing market, and Novatik's success is also the success of over 400 partners in Romania and Europe. With the opening of the new production line for Novatik NATURA metal roofing tiles with volcanic rock coating, we celebrated 18 years since the company was founded, 12 years since the Novatik brand was launched, and over 8 million metal tiles with rock sold in Romania so far," said Dan Mircescu, General Manager of NOVATIK.
As early as 2021, the company embarked on an investment of over 1.5 million euros, consisting of new production lines, an investment that was completed at the end of the first semester of this year. These investments aim to increase efficiency and performance and also provide new solutions for the roofing market.
The new generation of Novatik NATURA profiles now benefits from improved anti-corrosion protection and is already available for three of the profiles: CLASSIC, SLATE, and WOOD. The transition period from the old to the new generation of profiles will be gradual, and all Natura profiles from the new generation will be available at the beginning of next year.
The new generation of Novatik NATURA profiles are made of steel, protected against corrosion on both sides with ZnMg alloy, 250 g/m² plus additional multi-face® anti-corrosion protection, profiled by pressing, and then finished with volcanic rock. The multi-face® protective layer is a high-performance treatment applied to the steel, with a thickness of 1 to 2 microns, being a nearly invisible multifunctional sealant (thin organic coating) applied to the hot-dip galvanized steel strips (ZnMg). Its remarkable properties offer the steel durable premium sealing, excellent corrosion resistance, and superior adhesion of subsequent finishing layers.
In the Novatik NATURA rock roofing range, there is also the company's emblematic profile: SLATE. Depending on the architectural style, Novatik NATURA SLATE metal roofing tiles with volcanic rock coating can now be installed in two distinct ways: intercalated or linear arrangement. A new color has been introduced to the range: Graphite Grey and is already available for all five profiles in the NATURA range.
