Novatik, the manufacturer of Novatik metal roofing systems, recorded a turnover of over 27.5 million lei in the first eight months of the year, up 52% compared to the same period last year. The best results were achieved in June and August, and June recorded a record of sales in the history of the Novatik company.
The entire range of Novatik products registered double-digit increases, with the Novatik NATURA stone chip coated metal roof tiles doubling the amount sold. Sales distribution was relatively uniform, with the Southern region of Romania having the most completed projects. In the first eight months of this year, exports accounted for 25% of the total turnover, an increase of 31% compared to the same period last year.
“After a pandemic-affected year in 2020, 2021 started unexpectedly, with the mild winter being one of the factors that positively influenced sales. As far as demand is concerned, there is an increased trend for standing seam roofs, due to new architectural trends that have strongly manifested in the minimalist and modern design area. Moreover, the renovation market and new urban and architectural regulations have led to the consolidation of this demand, with standing seam roof being a frequently encountered solution since the beginning of the century. If we refer to colors, gray and black dominated demand. These two colors were among the consumers' favorites in these first eight months, outpacing demands for brown and red colors, which were the favorites of previous years. If we talk about shapes and profiles, flat-looking roofs are the most appreciated, at least in our case. We have found the same trends on foreign markets where we are present (Poland, Croatia, Ukraine, Slovenia), outlining a regional trend in terms of consumer preferences,” says Dan Mircescu, General Manager of NOVATIK.
